Team Hydra is a development studio, infrastructure operator, and the team behind some of the largest platforms on Discord. We're a daughter company of Sunrise Unified IT, based in Canada, and we've been shipping since 2019.
Our story
What started as one developer and one Discord bot became a studio serving some of the biggest names in tech, entertainment, and gaming. Here's how we got here.
Zira Launches
What started as a reaction role bot for a few servers quickly gained traction. Within months, Zira was one of the fastest-growing bots on Discord.
Team Hydra Forms
The demand for more tools led to a full team. HepBoat, AppBot, KeyBot, and Zira Music all launched in rapid succession. Team Hydra was officially a studio.
Enterprise Clients
Amazon, Gucci, Nickelodeon, Taylor Swift — major brands started relying on our platforms for their Discord communities. Scale became the default.
AS31905 Goes Live
We stopped renting infrastructure and built our own. AS31905 went live with dedicated IP space (23.150.184.0/24) and custom peering arrangements worldwide.
Full-Service Studio
Web development, custom software, and infrastructure consulting joined the lineup. Team Hydra evolved from a bot team into a full development studio.
160M+ Users
Our platforms serve over 160 million users across 1.9 million servers. Over 150 products shipped and counting. Still building.

Privacy is non-negotiable
Zero data harvesting. Zero telemetry that doesn't serve users. We've never sold data and never will. Zira's "User Data Harvested: 0" stat isn't a joke — it's a core principle.
Reliability over features
A platform that works 100% of the time beats a platform with 100 features. We ship stable, tested, monitored software and we'd rather delay a feature than ship a bug.
Community comes first
Our Discord server isn't a support desk — it's where we build in the open. Feedback shapes our roadmap. The people who use our tools have a direct line to the people who build them.
Own the stack
From application code to network routing, we control as much of the stack as possible. Fewer dependencies means fewer points of failure and faster response when things go sideways.
AS31905
Most development studios rent a VPS and call it infrastructure. We operate our own Autonomous System — AS31905 — with dedicated IPv4 space at 23.150.184.0/24. We peer directly with major networks, control our own BGP routing, and run hardware we physically manage.
This isn't a vanity play. When your platform serves 160 million users, the difference between "our host had issues" and "we fixed it in 4 minutes" is the difference between a service people trust and a service people tolerate.
